Week 12 Reflection
July 11, 2020
This week was filled with a lot of learning not only from the reading, the Gap Analysis, and the discussion questions. One of the things that was most beneficial for me was learning more about various Entrepreneurs and the change that they made possible through not only their insight, but that of Governmental change in some cases.
I think that one of the things that stood out to me the most was the ABC's of Self-Reliance from the Gap Analysis studying section. It was interesting to me that although it is ABC it all really begins with the "C" in Cognition and that is what truly starts the change or the action that drives the behavior. I feel that this for me is a game changer piece of knowledge that I will use for the rest of my life. Not only to help myself but others around me. If we can all come to the realization that it begins with "ME or I" things can be a lot better.
When taking the ABC's and applying it to me personally, I have seen a few areas that I need to apply them too. One of the things that I can no longer be afraid of is doing new things, or even hard things. It is those things that help build that self reliance and the prosperity that goes along with it. We can't continue to take the easy road and make everyone else around us take care of us. We must be willing to change and make the effort to do the things we really don't want to do and that most of all is change.
